A new week has started and it’s officially cooling down in Los Angeles. I mean, we are still wearing shorts, flip flops and the sun is still warming LA up to a 85 degrees. But still it’s cooling down lol.
We had lunch today at a Japanese BBQ spot in Beverly Hills. Since I’m crying myself thru this all protein diet – Japanese BBQ is a perfect restaurant for me. 😉 I’m not going to lie yesterday I was going thru it. All I could think of was a big fat Magnum Ice cream. Preferably with white chocolate. Guess I’ll just keep dreaming.
The concept is, that there is a grill in the middle of your table. You then order all your meat and vegetables and then it’s your job to cook it on the grill. It’s super fun and really delicious. I had Harami Skirt steak, basil marinated chicken, edamame beans and broccoli. And of course my two glasses of ice water and six yes six lemons. ha ha…
If you are in Los Angeles I’ll definitely recommend you try out “Gyu-Kaku” in Beverly Hills.
Two years and three months ago my mother and I was driving around Santa Monica. We decided to stop by Whole Foods (a popular grocery store in California) to get some water. What we didn’t know was our pit stop was about to change our lives.
Outside Whole Foods there was a dog rescue group who had 10 dogs who were up for adoption. All of the dogs were playing behind a fence except one little white, very scared dog. He just got neutered so he was wearing a collar or a “party hat” as we call it to keep him from licking the wounds. He was so scared, shaking and no one could pet him. As we walked by he came over towards me. If you know me, you would know that I have been TERRIFIED of dogs my entire life. So I froze and super panicked when the dog came towards me. My mother and the rescue group told me he liked me and I should pet him. I felt like everyone was forcing me and I didn’t want to be rude so I sat down and he jumped on my lap. PANIC !!! Never had a dog been on my lap……..
The rescue group told me that they had found him in Downtown Los Angeles tied to a tree all beaten up. At the shelter he didn’t want to eat anything, go for walks, play and he barely slept.
As we were sitting there he looked into my eyes and I just knew he was special. I took him for a little walk around the block to get away from the rest of the group. I had no clue what I was doing. How I was suppose to carry him. Or how to even walk him. I felt like one of those new dads, when they get to hold their newborn baby for the first time and it is the most awkward thing ever! Ha ha ha.. Well I decided that the awkwardness wouldn’t stop me. Crisco – as the rescue group had named him – was coming home with me.
I filled out the paperwork and donated $250 to another dog who needed surgery on his leg because he had been thrown out of a car.
The first couple of weeks my mother and I had to teach him everything from going on walks, eating and drinking out of a bowl, interacting with other dogs, play with toys and most importantly to sleep. Because of his abuse he had such a hard time falling asleep. The first week he would only fall asleep laying in my arms.
Now two years later his name is Albert Einstein. He is the prince of Hollywood. He has modeled for a major clothing company. He has his own catalogue. He attends and throws puppy parties. He plays with his favorite toys. He has his best friend Obie over for play dates. He runs off lease when we go hiking. He has attended doggie school. He went to Denmark. He has been to Las Vegas. Been to most restaurants in Los Angeles. He sleeps whenever he is tired. He eats whenever he is hungry. He is completely potty trained. He has been in recording studios. He has attended meetings. He has been at multiple photo shoots. He go for bike rides. He has played with celebrity dogs. He plays on the beach. He comes to the gym. He has his own wardrobe and his own car seat. He is the most handsome dog on the block. He is loved by many. And he gives endless kisses, love and good times.
I can without a doubt say that the best day of my life is the day Albert Einstein joined the family. He has shown me how it is to love someone unconditionally. He is my best companion. I honestly can’t imagine not having him by my side. I love Albreezy so much.
Today we had a really exciting meeting at the Danish bakery “Hygge“ in Downtown Los Angeles about a future project.
Since we were already there, I decided to please my sweet tooth with a piece of Danish “kringle”. As you guys know I’m on my protein diet as part of the preparation for my upcoming music videos. Therefore I was super excited about my “kringle”. Well, after one and a half bite my stomach was hurting so much to the point where I couldn’t even finish it. The sad moment occurred. I had to pass my delicious “kringle” on to my mother. Awesome… So much for my cheat day.
I almost feel like it was karma because I already planned on lying to my trainer about eating it…….. Karma is a b*tch. 🙁
It’s been such a lazy Saturday for me… It actually felt more like Sunday to be honest.
Well I woke up. Took a loooong shower and then my friend had arranged a “snack table” with all sorts of delicious things to eat.
Lately I’ve been watching the show “Ray Donovan”. I say the first season earlier this year while I was at a weekend get-a-away to Palm Springs.
I literally watched the entire season in two days! I love to go on those binges of just watching an entire show in a day or two. I’ll be watching till my eyes fall out and to the point where I have to really focus for my brain to understand what’s going on. Lol. I just realized I sound a little sicko. But whatever. I don’t care. I love it….;)
So my friend got me the second season of “Ray Donovan” last week. Since I’ve been so busy lately I haven’t had time to go on a serious binge. So today I decided i would pick up where I left off and watch the rest. What I didn’t know was there was only four episodes left before the season was over!!!!
Here I was sitting. With my favorite snacks. A delicious smoothie. Hair up. No make up. AC on. Phone on silent. Really getting into it. I’m felling the characters. And then it happened. … The season was over?! Like, out of freaking no where – in the middle of the day – I had watched the last episode. Not so much an announcement; “Season finale” to mentally prepare me.. Nope! It just ended like that.
There was way too many unanswered questions for it to be over like that. I know that’s how the producers make sure the viewers come back. But I feel robbed. Lol. 🙁 I’m so sad!
Well at least the new season of “Scandal” just came on…. 🙂
This is what Fridaynight is looking like here in Hollywood! Or at least for us…..
While most people are out poppin bottles, turning up, shaking their ratchet ass – and risking ending up drunk calling a lame old booty call – we are getting cozy under our matching blankets. #TurnDownForWhat
Are we getting old or are we just boring? We haven’t even thought about watching a movie or getting snacks. We are literally just sitting on the couch doing absolutely nothing. Except an occasional stalking spree on Instagram…..
For some reason this still feels like the best way to spend Friday night! LOL.
