Last night I went to Barton G in Los Angeles. It a very hip and new trendy restaurant – it’s a combination of fine dining and fun dining. Each meal is served in a unique way, the presentation is an over the top experience and most importantly the food is tasty!

Eating there is really fun and a full experience for both eyes and mouth 😉

The Salmon with lobster pop tarts and saffron veggies was so delicious. It came out with a big green fish Ha ha.

The drinks are served with a popsicle of vodka that has to melt into the glass with the rest of the mix. Really fun.

The curry lamb with a spicy yam was very good too. The meat was perfectly cooked and so tender. In case you forgot what you ordered just read the sign;)

As an appetizer we got popcorn shrimp – literally! Our shrimp was served in an old school  popcorn machine with popcorn ha ha! Not only was it the best popcorn shrimp I’ve ever had it was definitely also an experience for the eyes.

It was a really fun night. The atmosphere is great even on a Monday. If you ever get a hanse to try out Barton G you should 🙂

Together with our sweet friends Elif and Kevni we went to the hot spot Il Pastaio for lunch in Beverly Hills today. Il Pastaio is one of my favorite lunch spots – their pastas are amazing and their bread is send from heaven!

The restaurant is located in the heart of Beverly Hills right next to Rodeo Dr. Not only is the restaurant always packed but the paparazzi’s are always to be found outside. I highly recommend sitting outside. Their outdoor seating is on the corner so you will definitely do some good people watching 😉

Kev and Elif are such a cute couple! I always have such a good time with them 🙂

I decided to cheat today and have my favorite linguini with lobster and crab meat. Yummy! I’m so happy that I took my leftovers home – think I’m actually going to go eat that now;)

My Valentine’s Day

I hope you all had a great Valentine’s day Saturday. Here is what I did 🙂

First I had brunch with my partner in crime Ida, Christel, Daisy Duke and my furry child Albert Einstein at Toast – read my review at Toast here! The weather was so nice so we had a table outside. We stayed for a couple of hours, taking, laughing and enjoying the weather.

At night Red took me to the premiere of “Fifty Shades Of Grey” – I loved the movie! The movie was so much better than I thought and the ending had me lie “Whaaaaaat”!!! I’m already excited for the second one. ha ha. As a little surprise for Red I sneaked in his favorite ice-cream “Cherry Garcia” from Ben and Jerry’s. I had arranged a little bag filled with coolers so the ice-cream wouldn’t melt! Talk about being creative 😉

“Fifty Shades Of Grey” premiere on Valentine’s day is a recipe for disaster. You can already imagine there was a million people at the movies! But luckily Red bought tickets ahead of time.

After the movies Red had arranged for us to go to dinner as a surprise. We ended up going to Ocean Prime in Beverly Hills – which is an upscale Seafood and steak restaurant and super yummy! The food was so delicious and the drinks were by far one of the best I’ve ever had. I got a drink called Black Orchid with a big ice-cube that was made around real leaves from an orchid. When the ice-cube started to melt the orchid leaves would float around – so cute 🙂

I gave Red a sweet card and a really good non-sticking skillet. He has been complaining about needing a new skillet for so long, and he refuses to buy himself a new one so I did it for him 😉 I’m assuming he was really excited about his new skillet because the next morning he was up making pancakes with it 😉 – and they weren’t burn!!!

Before Valentines Day I went out with my Danes Elif whom I know from High school, my partner in crime Ida and Christel I know from my old dance school. I decided to take them to West Hollywood and who better to show them around  gay-wood than my friend Christian 🙂

(null)

First we had dinner at PUMP restaurant owned my Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Lisa Vanderpump – remember our last time at PUMP? If not see HERE.

(null)

I had the skirt steak with asparagus and Lisa’s homemade potato salad with turkey bacon – yummy!!!!! It was so good that I wanted to share a picture of it 😉

After we went to my favorite gay bar The Abbey and we turned up!! We had so much fun dancing all night and met some great people.

Mama-Zanne facetimed me when we was at The Abbey. We all picked up and “took her dancing” and the bartender took her around the bar ha ha 🙂 Of course we had to get a little duck face out of her before hanging up ha ha…

Most importantly we had to pop Christel’s cherry and buy her a lap dance!!! Looks like she’s enjoying it 😉 I’m sure she will be back when she’s back in town 😉

My friend Elif I’ve known from High School just moved to Los Angeles with her sweet husband Kevni to study film:)

To welcome them my partner in crime Ida, Red and myself had dinner with them at sushi restaurant Katana in Hollywood. We sat on their outside patio and enjoyed a great meal – how lucky are we to be able to dine outside in February #LoveLosAngeles 😉 . The sushi there is really good! Also the crowd is fun, and there is always something going on.

Sorry the boys didn’t make the picture 😉 #GirlsOnly

We ended up being there for 4 hours, talking, laughing and eating. It was such a fun night:)

If you are in Los Angeles I definitely recommend trying out Katana – but it’s best to make reservation before going and always request a table on their patio. Food-wise my favorites are the popcorn shrimp, the White Lotus sushi roll and the lobster roll. #Yummy
